An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 20" x 28" [51 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Dixie Vaudeville Show Talkies, the 1920s poster promoting a show which was held at the Dixie Theatre. The Dixie Vaudeville Show operated from at least the early 1900s to the 1920s. As this poster mentions "talkies" we imagine they included sound shorts during the stage show in the late 1920s. Note that we have three versions of this poster with very different images. One has a white minstrel singer in blackface, one has an artwork image of a pointing clown, and one has stylized art of a sexy ballerina. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a blank area at the top, and no credits on it. We sold a different example of this poster that had "Dixie Vaudeville Show" printed at the top. This is clearly the same poster, but it has not had overprinting at the top, but because it is otherwise the same we are listing it under this title, even though the title is not on this example of the poster. Condition: good. The poster has 2" of separation at the bottom of the vertical fold with some minor wear on the folds and light stains scattered in the right border and a lesser number in the rest of the borders and top blank area.
