An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (28 1/4" x 41") (Learn More) Zane Grey's Life in the Raw, the 1933 Louis King romantic gambling cowboy western (based on the novel by Zane Grey; a complicated story of a woman going to visit her brother out west, but she doesn't know that he has lost his ranch to a gambler in a poker game, and the brother commits a robbery, and the woman lets her new boyfriend take the blame for what her brother did, but everything works out in the end) starring George O'Brien, Claire Trevor (second billed in her first movie role!), Greta Nissen, Francis Ford, and Warner P. Richmond NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 41". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a dime-sized area of paper loss at the top crossfold and some tiny tears in the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline. There were creases, smudges, and some small tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
