It was founded by Samuel Cunard and featured the fastest trans-Atlantic steam ship of the time (which held the record for 30 years). The company remained primarily for mail carriage until after World War II (WWII) when the company reformed as a passenger fleet and today still maintains three of the largest cruise ships in the world. Important Added Info: Note that this cruise must have had mostly or all Jewish passengers, because one night in Kobe, Japan, they had Seder night, and this was the menu where they served Gefilte Fish, chicken soup with matzos balls, and more.
