If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: If this poster looks familiar to you, it is because there is a later reprint of this poster that has been sold many times. But that poster has different printing on the bottom, and this is the original 1960s re-release poster, and it is NOT a reproduction. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/2" x 20" [37 x 51 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. There is something very peculiar about this poster. Someone "enhanced" the face of King Kong by painting over his features and hair (perhaps to make him look more fierce). It does not appear this was done because of damage in that area. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and displays well, but please bear in mind the paint enhancements on King Kong's head described above before bidding on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
