Note that this was one of the nine wonderful movies that Astaire and Rogers made between 1933 and 1939 (they made one final movie, "The Barkleys of Broadway", thirteen years later in 1949). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare Japanese press sheet for the first release of this movie in Japan. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! We have provided an image of each side of the press sheet. Note also that this Japanese press sheet measures 14 1/4" x 15 1/4" [36 x 51 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.
UPDATED 06/19/2020: Note that Swing Time was released in Japan in December of 1936. This press sheet is from December or early January (it mentions "Happy New Year 1937" on the back) and is promoting Swing Time and upcoming planned movies from RKO (similar to a campaign book). Some of the movies would not come out until 1938 (Gunga Din, Saint in New York), some still had the working titles (Shall We Dance was called Stepping Toes) and some were never made (Robert Donat in Clementina, directed by Edward Small). Condition: very good. The rare press sheet has some minor fold and border wear but is overall in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
