Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds, with tiny tears and tiny paper loss in the vertical fold between them, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed with no excess linen, but it was then displayed, and the reds in the poster faded considerably (see our image).
