Dull silent Nevada romantic poker gambling cowboy western ("A Whirlwind Romance of the Lawless Days in Old Nevada"; "Story by Johnston McCulley"; about a professional gambler in the Old West, who wins everybody's money in a poker game, and then is chased out of town, and he meets up with a beautiful young woman who has a third of a coin, and when combined with the other two thirds, the coin forms a map of a great gold mine, and the cowboy goes partners with her, but there are bad guys who will stop at nothing to get the coin!) starring Buck Jones, Barbara Bennett, Theodore Lorch, George Berrell, and Harry Cording. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned). The cardboard holder has staining around the staples.
