And she's leading the merriest men on the hottest chase from safe to sofa."; "... The world's most beautiful bank-robber"; "Attention! Put your hands in your pockets. If you find anything missing... Penelope probably took it!"; "From the novel by E.V. Cunningham"; about the bored wife of a bank executive, who robs $60,000 from his bank!) starring Natalie Wood (in the title role as Penelope), Ian Bannen, Dick Shawn, Peter Falk, Lila Kedrova, Lou Jacobi, and Jonathan Winters. Note that Natalie Wood's character is described as being "schizophrenic", because she essentially is two people, one a bored housewife, and the other a kleptomaniac who masterminds a major robbery. Edith Head designed a "Schizophrenic Wardrobe" for Wood, so that she could more clearly portray two separate people trapped in a single body! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Perhaps it was intended to be used in both countries (we have heard from collectors who saw these color stills in U.S. theaters at the time the movies were released, but we have not heard from any English collectors as to whether they were used in England at that time).
