What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had large areas of light water staining in much of the top and much of the bottom of the poster. It otherwise had creases and tiny bits of surface paper loss along the folds, and a 3" diagonal tear in the bottom right. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed with no excess, and little restoration. If I owned this poster, I would surely have it removed from the old linen and have it properly re-backed. Since the light water staining can probably be removed chemically, it will display great after restoration, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
