Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and there had been some tape on the back of part of the top horizontal fold, which had darkened. There was minor wear on the other folds and pinholes around the edges. There were some faint smudges scattered in the poster, including in Colman's forehead. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
