AND House of Frankenstein, the 1944 Erle C. Kenton Universal monster horror thriller ("All together...!"; "Frankenstein's Monster! The Wolf Man! Dracula! The Hunchback! The Mad Doctor!") starring Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr. (as Lawrence Talbot, the Wolfman), John Carradine (as Dracula), J. Carroll Naish (as Daniel, the hunchback), Anne Gwynne, Peter Coe, Elena Verdugo, Lionel Atwill, Michael Mark, Frank Reicher, Charles Wagenheim, William Edmunds, Belle Mitchell, Sig Ruman, and Glenn Strange (as "Frankenstein's monster") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that legendary Universal makeup artist Jack Pierce was fanatical about making his monster makeup look perfect, so each star would spend hours getting made up. In this great candid still, Glenn Strange is being made into the Frankenstein monster for this movie, and to pass the time, he is reading the Sunday comics, in this case, Terry and the Pirates by Milton Caniff! Note that this still has three punch holes in the left border (with brown tape reinforcing the back), so it could be a key book still, or someone could have just put those punch holes there. Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: good to very good. There are three punch holes in the left border (see above). There are some small dot stains scattered down the left 1/2" of the still, no doubt caused by coming in contact with a still that was on top of it. There is a line of very light brown stains in Strange's sleeve, slightly entering his forearm (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
