An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Edna Ferber's Show Boat, the 1936 James Whale epic romantic interracial romance riverboat musical ("Version of 1936"; "The grandest show you'll ever know!"; "Hear Glorious New Music and Songs by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein") starring Irene Dunne, Allan Jones, Charles Winninger, Paul Robeson, Helen Morgan, Helen Westley, Queenie Smith, Sammy White, Donald Cook, Hattie McDaniel, Sunnie O'Dea, "and a Cast of Thousands". Note that Universal had previously made a version of this classic stage play in 1929 (starring Lauira LaPlante, Joseph Schildkraut, and Jules Bledsoe), and it was remade again in 1951 (starring Howard Keel, Ava Gardner, and William Warfield)!

Important Added Info: Note that this card had pinholes in the corners and in the center of the top and bottom borders. Someone put conservation tape on the reverse of some of the pinholes, and did slight touch up to the front of the card in those areas. Other than the pinholes, the card was in pretty nice condition. There was a very faint diagonal scuff running across the center of the image (starting in Robeson's shirt and running down to the heads at bottom right), but it is truly not very noticeable or distracting.
