An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14" x 18 1/2") (Learn More) All I Desire, the 1953 Douglas Sirk family relationship romantic melodrama ("Now he knew she had known other nights like this!"; "Now he knew her as other men had!"; "Produced by Ross Hunter"; about a woman from the wrong side of the tracks who marries well, but never fits in, and she deserts her husband and two daughters to pursue an acting career but ends up a burlesque dancer and finally returns home to a very mixed reaction!) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Carlson, Lyle Bettger, Marcia Henderson, Lori Nelson, Maureen O'Sullivan, and Richard Long. Note that this movie is not as classic as later Douglas Sirk/Ross Hunter productions, but it includes most of the elements from those, and Barbara Stanwyck gives her usual wonderful "bad girl" performance, two decades after she first started giving them! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bos Important Added Info: Note that this Belgian poster measures 14" x 18 1/2" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had glue stains in the top blank area where a snipe was removed. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines. There is the remnants of a censor stamp in the bottom right corner.
