Note that this poster was likely created for a specific theater showing this classic movie in 1939. Condition: very good. This poster was well restored, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). fair to good. The poster was considerably tattered around the edges and there was paper loss in many parts of the blank white borders. It appears that virtually all of the white background area was re-painted (probably to make the repaired portions match the other portions) and it is clear there has been some in-painting within the top image area and in the titles, but it is hard to tell how much was done. The poster now looks quite nice, but it has had considerable restoration (although many people might not realize it!), so please do not bid on it unless you can accept the restoration it has had. Please also note that this poster has been linenbacked to the exact edges of the poster, and that there was no excess linen left around the edges, as is sometimes done with linen posters.
