Biggest Spectacle since 'Quo Vadis'"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Robert Taylor (in the title role as Ivanhoe), Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders, Emlyn Williams, Norman Wooland (as King Richard), Finlay Currie, Felix Aylmer, Harold Warrender (as Robin of Locksley/Robin Hood), Robert Douglas, Basil Sydney, and Guy Rolfe (as Prince John) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had a 1/4" x 2" area of paper loss in the vertical fold below the "N" of the title. It had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, small tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. The poster had pinholes and some stains around the edges. At some point, the poster was displayed and faded considerably, except in the very top edge of the background area, which was folded back, so it did not fade. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed the poster with minimal restoration and without addressing the fading issue. Learn More about condition grades
