The movie provides a pretty accurate portrayal of Jewish life in the Lower East Side in the 1920s) starring Rudolph Schildkraut, Blanche Mehaffey (billed as "Blanche Mahaffey"), Kate Price, George J. Lewis, Edgar Kennedy, Rosa Rosanova, Robert Gordon, and Albert Bushaland. Note that Rudolph Schildkraut is the father of Joseph Schildkraut. He was a film and stage actor in Germany who last starred in 1921s Theodor Herzl, der Bannertrager des Judischen Volkes (The Wandering Jew), and his son Joseph was in the film as well.
