Zanuck"; "Based on the Novel by Sy Barlett and Beirne Lay, Jr."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about American pilots in England in World War II, and how the strain of facing death every day causes them to become fearful and unbalanced, and about the no-nonsense general who tries to change things) starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as General Frank Savage), Hugh Marlowe, Gary Merrill, Millard Mitchell, Dean Jagger (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Robert Arthur, Paul Stewart, John Kellogg, Bob Patten, and Joyce Mackenzie. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
