Mankiewicz Italian/U.S. romantic melodrama ("'The World's most beautiful animal!'"; also written by Joseph L. Mankiewicz; told in flashbacks, it starts with the funeral of a glamorous movie star, and men in her life recall their interactions with her) starring Humphrey Bogart, Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Marius Goring, Valentina Cortesa, Rossano Brazzi, Elizabeth Sellars, Warren Stevens, Bessie Love, and Riccardo Rioli. Note that this movie has a similar structure to that of Citizen Kane, which was written by screenwriter Joseph L. Mankiewicz's older brother, Herman J. Mankiewicz! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful script was screenwriter Joseph L. Mankiewicz's personal example (there are penciled check marks and some lines on many pages, which we would imagine were put there by Mr. Mankiewicz)! He had it professionally bound with a great hardcover binding with the title and "SCREENPLAY BY JOSEPH L. MANKIEWICZ 1953" printed in gold on the spine. He also had someone bind in 41 original stills from the movie, scattered throughout the script (see our many images)! Note that this script is from October 2, 1953 and the screenplay was written by Joseph L. Mankiewicz.
