An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book Page (measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Renee Adoree was a French actress from the 1910s to the 1930s. She was born into a circus family, and starred in an Australian film in 1918 before catching the eye of American producers in 1920. She was married to Tom Moore from 1921 to 1924. She is best remembered for co-starring opposite John Gilbert in The Big Parade. Some of her other movies include: Show People, The Blackbird, Mr. Wu, and Call of the Flesh. Adoree tragically was forced to retire at the age of 32 after falling ill from tuberculosis, passing away from the disease in 1933 at the age of 35.
Important Added Info: Note that this item is a page from a Metro-Goldwyn campaign book (almost surely the one from 1925-1926, but possibly 1924-1925). It has a 6" x 8" black & white photo "tipped-in" to the page, which is how it was originally created. We were consigned a total of five of these pages, each with a portrait of a different star, and we are auctioning them in five separate auctions.

Condition: very good. The page was removed from a campaign book (see above).
