An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4 1/2" x 6" [11 x 15 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Sins of the Fathers, the 1928 Ludwig Berger family relationship romantic bootlegging alcohol melodrama ("Story by Norman Burnstine"; about a man who is a waiter, and he has a family and owns the restaurant, but then he gets a mistress and his wife finds out and dies, and he becomes a bootlegger and is caught and sent to jail after his own son is blinded from drinking his moonshine, and when he gets out of jail, he gets a job as a waiter again, and the movie ends with him meeting his son, who forgives him, and who has regained his sight) starring Emil Jannings, Ruth Chatterton (in her very first movie after a successful stage career, and she has the starring role, and she was 35 at the time), Barry Norton, Jean Arthur, and Jack Luden. Note that this movie was one of the first silent movies to have some sound in it (it had singing sequences and sound effects, but was otherwise silent).
