Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage Theatrical One-Sheet Movie Poster (Learn More) Daddy, the 1923 E. Mason Hopper silent family relationship melodrama ("Smiles and Tears --- The Million Dollar Kid Was Never More Wonderful"; "Presented by Sol Lesser"; a wacky star vehicle for Coogan; he plays the son of parents who split up, and his mother takes him away, and she dies, and he runs away, and ultimately is reunited with his long lost father) starring Jackie Coogan ("At his best in Daddy"), Arthur Edmund Carewe, Josie Sedgwick, Cesare Gravina, Bert Woodruff, and Anna Townsend NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that regular "heavy stock" inserts were first introduced by studios around 1922. But for a while around that time, studios made "double inserts". These were one-sheet sized posters (27" x 41"), on regular thin one-sheet paper. But instead of a single image, they had two vertical images, each with full credits for the movie! They were intended for frugal theater owners, who would buy a single such one-sheet and then they could cut them in half and have two posters for the price of one! Apparently, theater owners really liked these, because around that time, regular heavy stock inserts were introduced, and that marked the end of the special "double inserts". What is offered here is one of these very rare double insert posters. It is surely incredibly rare, as only a small number of "double insert" one-sheets are known to exist from any titles!
