An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Tab Hunter was an actor from the 1950s to the 2000s. Some of his movies include: Battle Cry, Damn Yankees!, and The City Under the Sea. He resurfaced in the 1980s, playing the leads in two John Waters films: Polyester, and Lust in the Dust. He was initially billed as the "Sigh-Guy", and teen girls loved him, not knowing his secret, which was that he was a gay homosexual actor at a time when you could not "come out of the closet", and the studios manufactured romances for him, including a notable one with Natalie Wood. He finally came out of the closet in a tell-all book that he wrote in 2003, but it was not published until 2005. Hunter married Allan Glaser, his companion since 1983, in 2018. Tab passed away in 2018 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Tab Hunter! Note that it is extremely likely that this is a "key book" still, and it is virtually a certainty that the punch holes were put there by the studio at the time the still was created, so they are not a defect. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!
