An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 10 1/4" x 13 1/4" [26 x 34 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Joan Bennett was an actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. Note that in her roles in the 1930s, she had short blonde hair, and in the early 1940s, she massively changed her appearance, with long dark hair (greatly resembling Hedy Lamarr!). She came from a famous acting family (her parents were Richard Bennett and Adrienne Morrison) and her sister Constance Bennett was also a successful actress, and they had a third sister, Barbara, who appeared in a few movies but then retired to become a wife and mother. Some of her movies include: Scarlet Street, The Woman in the Window, Little Women, Father of the Bride, and We're No Angels. She passed away in 1990 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joan Bennett! Our consignor is a dealer who purchased this signed item (together with others we are currently auctioning) from the estate of a South American collector who collected signed items and many other collectibles over several decades, and that collector had many extremely valuable items, both signed and unsigned. Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but because they came from the estate of this collector, we think it is extremely likely the signature is authentic. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 10 1/4" x 13 1/4" [26 x 34 cm]. Finally, note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fair to good. There are creases in the top left, but they don't enter Bennett's figure. The letters of the inscription are uneven (as if the pen was low on ink).
