An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) William Peter Blatty's The Exorcist, the classic 1974 William Friedkin (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) satanic possession horror thriller ("Something almost beyond comprehension is happening to a girl on this street, in this house... and a man has been sent for as a last resort. This man is The Exorcist."; "Screenplay by William Peter Blatty based on his novel"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Ellen Burstyn (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Chris MacNeil), Max Von Sydow (as Father Merrin), Lee J. Cobb (as Lt. Kinderman), Kitty Winn, Jack MacGowran, Jason Miller (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Father Karras"), Linda Blair (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; "as Regan"), Mercedes McCambridge (as the voice of the demon Pazuzu), and William O'Malley (a real-life priest who was the technical advisor on the movie, but who also appears in scenes as a priest with Jason Miller) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Also note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1974, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
