An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Folded Special Movie Poster (measures 18 1/2" x 24 1/2" [47 x 62 cm]) (Learn More) Shall We Dance, the classic 1937 Mark Sandrich romantic dancing musical comedy ("Control yourself! ...they're coming on skates!"; "Music by George Gershwin"; "Lyrics by Ira Gershwin"; about a male ballet dancer and a female musical comedy star who have a pretend romance in order to gain publicity, but of course, they fall in love for real!) starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Edward Everett Horton, Eric Blore, Jerome Cowan, Ketti Gallian, William Brisbane, Harriet Hoctor, and Mantan Moreland. Note that this is the Astaire & Rogers movie where they dance together on roller skates! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that I have seen other posters similar to this one from classic movies, mostly one color only, but a couple with more than one color. I have heard that this special size was created for library showings of these movies in the 1960s, and I have no way of verifying that. Another possibility is that this might have been some sort of giveaway inside of a soundtrack album. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. In any event, we feel certain the poster dates from the 1960s, so please do not bid on it thinking it dates from earlier than that. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good.
