An Original Vintage 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) This is Your Life, the 1952 - 1987 (revived several times!) NBC television (TV) family comedy series (produced by Axel Gruenberg) hosted by Ralph Edwards (best remembered as the host of the "Truth or Consequences" radio show, as well as this series) and featuring Bob Warren as the announcer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this TV still comes together with two 8 1/2" x 11" pages that are dated 11/19/59, which is from when this show first broadcast, so we know for certain this still is original to the first broadcast. The guest on this show was Dr. Tom Dooley, who, at the time, was a massively celebrated young American doctor who had gone to South Vietnam to work with the "starved and diseased" people there. At the time of this broadcast, Dr. Dooley (no connection to the "Tom Dooley" from the folk song!) was at the peak of his fame, although he had had a tumor removed from his chest, and he was on a nationwide fundraising tour. He passed away in 1961, and after he died, much added information about him came to light, including that he cooperated with the CIA, and his entire mission ended with his death.
