A 1995 Re-release ("Fully Restored. Uncut.") Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Arthouse One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

A Matter of Life and Death (released in the U.S. in 1947 as "Stairway to Heaven"), the classic 1946 Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger English afterlife fantasy romantic melodrama ("In New Chromatic Technicolor!"; a fascinating movie; the early scenes are in color and then, artfully, the scenes in heaven are in black and white, kind of reverse from the usage of color in The Wizard of Oz) starring David Niven, Raymond Massey, Roger Livesey, Kim Hunter, Marius Goring, and Robert Coote. Note that American Kim Hunter played a lead role in this film, and she was the first American actress to appear in an English movie after World War II ended.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that in 1995, Martin Scorsese convinced Columbia Pictures to create a fully restored version of this classic movie and to give it a theatrical re-release!

Condition: fine. The poster was never folded. It was in quite nice condition prior to linenbacking, and it was well backed, and looks great!
