She appeared in several memorable movies including: Some Like It Hot, The Prince & the Showgirl, All About Eve, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monkey Business, and Niagara. The last film that she worked on was Something's Got To Give in 1962. 20th Century Fox blamed Marilyn for the production being behind schedule, and fired her in June (the film was never completed). In August, she was found dead in her home from an apparent drug overdose, and her death was ruled a suicide (though there are theories that foul play was involved, and even in 2024, many people do not feel it was an "accidental" death). Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still (printed on a heavyweight paper stock) that was obtained from the estate of a man who worked in the film business in 1960 and 1961. He obtained this signed deluxe still in one of those two years, and it is autographed to him ("Bob"), but it is believed that it was surely a secretary who signed it and not Miss Monroe. He had it taped to a mat, and displayed it until his passing. It would seem that the deluxe still is surely from either of those two years, but it is not marked in any way on the front or back, although it has slight aging around the edges that seems consistent with it being from that time. There are uncertainties about this secretarial signed photo, so bear them in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: very good to fine. The still was attached to the mat with three pieces of tape on the reverse. It has very slight darkening around the edges and the most minor of border wear. Learn More about condition grades
