An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 13 1/2" [28 x 34 cm]) (Learn More) Puppy Love, the 1919 Roy William Neill silent romantic love triangle newspaper journalism melodrama (about a young man who loves a girl who is sent to live with her spinster aunts in a town filled with single old ladies, and he writes a newspaper story about those ladies, and they get very angry with him, which causes the girl to agree to marry her other boyfriend, named "Hippo", but everything works out in the end!) starring Lila Lee, Harold Goodwin, Lincoln Stedman, Josephine Crowell, and Charles Murray. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Note that this card (like many 1918-1919 lobby cards) was printed on a very thin paper stock. This was an experiment done in late 1918 and 1919 only, and was abandoned soon after (likely theater owners complained that the thin paper lobby cards did not last nearly as long as those printed on heavy paper stock). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Finally, note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 11" x 13 1/2" [28 x 34 cm]. Condition: very good. The left and right blank borders were neatly partially trimmed (likely to fit a frame). Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
