Dorothy Comingore was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s. She is best remembered for playing Susan Alexander Kane in "Citizen Kane". She was discovered by Charlie Chaplin in a stage play in Carmel California. She denied any romantic involvement with Chaplin, but he got her a Warner Bros contract and her first role was in Girls on Probation. Some of her other movies include: The Big Night, and Any Number Can Play. She passed away in 1971 at the age of 58.
Important Added Info: Note that we have pictured the backs of these stills (see our images). One is a screen test image from Comingore's first movie "Girls on Probation" and the other is a candidate from two years later describing how she was discovered by Charlie Chaplin.
