An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More)

Two in Revolt, the 1936 Glenn Tryon dog horse best friends relationship gambling horse racing sports melodrama ("The brute love and conflict of the tameless waste echoes in two human hearts in a thrilling story of wild-horse courage and dog devotion."; a great story of a half German Shepherd-half wolf dog that is owned by a girl whose father owns a horse stable, and the father wants to drown the puppy, but she hides it in a horse's stable, and the horse and the dog become best friends, and later, the dog, all grown up, repays the favor by saving the horse from gamblers who have stolen him, but only after many adventures, and at the end of the movie, the horse is about to win the big race with his dog best friend barking happily) starring John Arledge, Louise Latimer, Moroni Olsen, Lightning ("the Dog"), Warrior ("the Horse"), Harry Jans, and Willie Best. Note that Lightning made an uncredited appearance in the 1934 movie, "The Case of the Howling Dog", and that got him discovered and he starred in a half dozen movies over the next three year, after which he retired from the screen! Also note that director Glenn Tryon had been a star of comic shorts in the 1920s, but in the early 1930s, his popularity waned, and he reinvented himself as a screenwriter and director, making over a dozen movies in the 1930s and early 1940s.

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: fair. There is a horizontal crack running across the center of the slide at a slight diagonal.
