An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Stewart Edward White's Wild Geese Calling, the 1941 John Brahm Seattle Washington Alaska romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the novel by Stewart Edward White; about a man who works in Seattle with an old friend, and unknowingly, he falls for the man's former girlfriend, and later, after all three move to Alaska, he learns of their prior involvement, which causes trouble) starring Henry Fonda, Joan Bennett, Warren William, Ona Munson, Barton MacLane, and Iris Adrian. Note that the phrase "wild geese calling" is similar to "a rolling stone gathers no moss", which refers to someone who "moves on" at the drop of a hat (or every time they hear wild geese in the sky). The poster had tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and some creases, scuffs, and tiny tears in the top horizontal foldline and in the top quarter of the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There were some smudges and faint stains around the edges of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was not that well backed, both because the restorer did little restoration to the above defects and also because the poster is slightly "lifting" from the linen just above the top crossfold (but any restorer could re-glue that area without re-backing the poster).
