(Learn More) Panther Girl of the Kongo, the 1955 Franklin Adreon Africa Congo science fiction (sci-fi) jungle action serial ("Horror stalks the jungle!"; "Man-made monsters terrify the jungle"; "Strange monsters invade the jungle!"; "The most exciting serial ever filmed!"; "A Republic Serial in 12 Chapters"; "Written by Ronald Davidson") starring Phyllis Coates (in the title role as the Panther Girl), Myron Healey, Arthur Space, John Daheim (billed as "John Day"), Mike Ragan, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the man in the gorilla suit). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that along with the poster, the high bidder on this auction gets a DVD of this movie (it looks like it was bought at a collectibles show and that it was homemade, because the DVD has no image on it and the case has a homemade image), and we imagine the DVD plays fine. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good. There are some dot water stains scattered in the poster. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
