Date Sold 9/22/2011 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) Strange Lady in Town, the 1955 Mervyn LeRoy New Mexico cowboy western ("She was the one woman Rork didn't want in Santa Fe... but he'd kill anybody who'd try to make her leave..."; "The moment she arrived she started whispers - whispers that grew into the roar of guns!"; "Story and screenplay by Frank Butler"; "Warner Bros. present it in CinemaScope and WarnerColor") starring Greer Garson, Dana Andrews, Cameron Mitchell, Lois Smith, Walter Hampden, Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez (billed as "Gonzales Gonzales"), and Jose Gonzales-Gonzales. Note that Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez and Jose Gonzales-Gonzales were brothers and both were often individually billed as Gonzales Gonzales. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that one still has an image of artwork created specifically for this movie! Such stills are far more rare than stills which show scenes from the movie! Also note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were used in French speaking parts of Canada, but they were printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us! So they are original stills from 1955, but they were printed for use in parts of Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 5 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 5 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured!
