An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 24" x 36" [61 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Peace, the 1985 poster recognizing the 40th anniversary of the U.S. World War II (WWII) nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, and promoting a reconciliation between the U.S. and Japan. This poster features Steff Geissbuhler art of Godzilla walking into a sunset while holding hands with King Kong (of course, the two most famous monsters of each country actually did fight each other in 1962's "King Kong vs. Godzilla", which, contrary to urban legend, did not have two different filmed endings, one for each country)! Note that Steff Geissbuhler was a student of Armin Hofmann in Switzerland, and he moved to America, where he became a top graphic artist. We have found that another example of this poster auctioned at Swan Galleries in 2011 for $600!
Artist: Steff Geissbuhler

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some tiny creases and scuffs in the lower left border, and a few tiny scuffs in the image.
