An Original Vintage Oversized Still (measures 16" x 20" [41 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Cheney Johnston was a New York City-based photographer known for his nude and semi-nude portraits of Ziegfeld Follies showgirls, as well as many actors and actresses from stage and screen. He passed away in 1971 at the age of 96. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say when this cool over-sized still is from, or whether it is an original or a re-strike. Johnston produced stills into the 1960s, and this certainly could date from then (or possibly earlier) and it has a stamp on the back that reads "PHOTOGRAPH BY ALFRED CHENEY JOHNSTON", but we are far from experts on this, so please don't bid on this unless you can accept these uncertainties about it. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this measures 16" x 20" [41 x 51 cm]. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
