A Linenbacked French Magazine Ad (measures 6" x 8 3/4" [15 x 22 cm]) (Learn More) Benedictine is a herbal liqueur beverage developed by Alexandre Le Grand in the 19th century and produced in France. Every bottle of Benedictine has the initials D.O.M. on the label, which stands for "Deo Optimo Maximo" ("To God, most good, most great"). This abbreviation is commonly used at the beginning of documents of the Benedictine Order as a dedication of their work. Important Added Info: Note that this ad was removed from a French magazine. There is printing on the reverse side of the ad, but we don't picture it, because this magazine ad is linenbacked. Normally we would send linenbacked items rolled in a tube, but because this item is very small, and because rolling it might caused it to have creases, we intend to send it in a small flat package instead (however, if the purchaser of this item also purchases other linen items, and absolutely wants us to send it rolled with those other linens, we will do so). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The ad was removed from a magazine and linenbacked (see our image).
