An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Custer's Last Stand, the 1936 Elmer Clifton historical Battle of Little Bighorn cowboy western serial ("Based on historical events leading up to Custer's Last Fight"; "Spectacular historical drama") starring Rex Lease, Jack Mulhall, William Farnum, Ruth Mix (daughter of Tom Mix, who appeared in around a dozen movies, starting as a teenager), Lona Andre, Reed Howes, Bobby Nelson, Dorothy Gulliver, Frank McGlynn Jr. (in the title role as General George A. Custer), William Desmond, Helen Gibson (as Calamity Jane), Nancy Caswell, George Chesebro, Josef Swickard, Chief Thundercloud, Ted Adams (as Buffalo Bill), Allen Greer (as Wild Bill Hickok), High Eagle (as Chief Crazy Horse), Howling Wolf (as Chief Sitting Bull), Iron Eyes Cody, and Franklyn Farnum. Note that there was a feature version of this serial which was created by editing the individual chapters into a single film, and both the feature and serial have the same name and were released in 1936. The same one-sheet posters were used to promote the feature and serial, but the serial version had chapter information overprinted onto it (otherwise they are the same poster and even have the same litho numbers). No unique one-sheets were created for the serial chapters, only lobby cards. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good. The poster is fragile and has some paper loss in the vertical fold at top right (see our image). There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. The poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will display well, and will need little paint restoration within the image. However, please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects and are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
