An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Showdown at Abilene (also released as "Gun Shy"), the 1956 Charles Haas Texas cowboy western ("The blazing story of the great Abilene range war!";"Only Bullets Could Keep The Peace... but the only law was a gun-shy sheriff!"; "when the gun-shy sheriff faced the showdown.. either fight like a killer or run like a coward!") starring Jock Mahoney, Martha Hyer, Lyle Bettger, David Janssen, Grant Williams, and Ted de Corsia NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. It appears the poster was paperbacked solely to make it easier to frame, as the poster was unfolded and in generally nice condition prior to backing. There were a few small areas of paper loss in the bottom credits area and in the right of the image of the cattle and two scuff lines in the chest of Mahoney at bottom right, and the restorer did not address those areas (although they are not distracting).
