An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Chaplin Revue, the 1959 Charlie Chaplin (billed as "Charles Chaplin") English/U.S. compilation of three classic Charlie Chaplin comedy short subjects: A Dog's Life, the 1918 Charlie Chaplin screwball comedy starring Charlie Chaplin ("In his first million dollar picture"; "Git out o' here with that mut."; "You can't help loving Jack, he told her."; "You kick my dog, an I'll kick you."; "He's thoroughbred, my dog is."; "Safety First!"), Edna Purviance, Syd Chaplin, Henry Bergman, and Charles Reisner. Note that one of the lobby cards refers to the dog as "Jack", but the IMDb lists him as being billed as "Scraps", and that he is played by "Mut". If anyone knows more about this dog and his billing, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Leo Kouper Condition: good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It had creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss in the right half of the top foldline. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
