He is best known for his work creating movie posters for several famous Hollywood producers and directors, such as Dino De Laurentiis, Sergio Leone, Lelouch, Francis Ford Coppola, and Bernardo Bertolucci. He was also recently coaxed out of retirement by Quentin Tarantino to draw posters for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 85! Artist: Renato Casaro Important Added Info: Note that artist Renato Casaro created two versions of this clever poster, which features Hollywood celebrities at a Last Supper (an homage to Leonardo Da Vinci's painting of Jesus and his disciples), but he replaced Jesus with Marilyn Monroe and the disciples with Hollywood celebrities, including Frankenstein's monster, Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Elvis Presley, Clark Gable, John Wayne, James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, and Marlon Brando. There is another version that he created where Robert Mitchum replaced John Wayne and Groucho Marx replaced Frankenstein, but we don't know which came first! In addition, this poster is likely a "printer's test", because it has a border around the edges with crop marks and printer notes (see our image). What IS linenbacking?
