Moore, Charles Dingle, and Carl Benton Reid NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this insert!, and it sold for $924! Also note that while this poster was never folded, it has had restoration without being backed (see below), and it would not make sense to roll it, as doing so would likely lessen its condition. Therefore we must be sent in a very large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never machine folded, but someone once folded it 2" from the bottom. It has an odd defect. It has a thin strip of paper loss in the lower right border extending into the solid background area, but missing Wright's hair and extending into her shoulder at the bottom. It also had a thin strip of paper loss in the upper right border to the right of Davis' arm, slightly extending into that background area. Other than those two areas of paper loss, the poster had some smudges and creases around the edges, with a 1/2" tear near the center of the bottom border, and a 1 1/2" tear near the center of the top border. Someone took the poster and taped paper from another insert to the back of the two areas of paper loss in the right border, and they then did restoration to the front of those areas. While both areas are very noticeable when you know to look at them, they are not all that distracting, and the great full-length image of Bette Davis is not affected by the defects, and neither is the vast majority of the image. Therefore, I think more collectors would be happy to display this poster as it is, or certainly, one could choose to have additional restoration performed. But please look closely at our super-sized image before bidding on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
