An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Teresa, the 1951 Fred Zinnemann post-World War II (WWII) romantic war brides marriage melodrama ("This is Teresa... As played by Pier Angeli in her first MGM picture. The story of a bride, revealing, intimate."; "'Teresa' the story of a bride"; "From an original story by Alfred Hayes and Stewart Stern"; about a messed up soldier who marries an 18 year old girl in Italy at the end of World War II, and then brings her back to live with him, but he is totally incapable of handling married life, and he ends up in a mental hospital, where he is briefly treated by a sympathetic psychiatrist, played by Rod Steiger in one of his early roles) starring Pier Angeli (in the title role as Teresa), John Ericson, Patricia Collinge, Richard Bishop, Peggy Ann Garner, Ralph Meeker, Bill Mauldin, and Rod Steiger. Note that this movie is what is often described as an "honest failure", in that it had very good intentions and was made by a wonderful director, but it just never "comes together". But Pier Angeli, who really was 18 when this movie was made, got rave reviews for it! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good.
