Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and separation and fine surface paper loss on the foldlines. It had many pinholes around the edges, with some creases and tears across the middle of the poster and some pinholes scattered in the bottom half of the poster. It had much staining down the left 4" and some scattered down the right edge. Someone mounted the poster onto linen with no excess, with only the slightest attempts at restoration. Certainly, I would recommend that the poster be removed from the old linen and properly re-backed. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to backing.
