5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Adventure, the 1945 Victor Fleming romantic love triangle gambling melodrama ("Victor Fleming's Production of MGM's Adventure"; "Based on a novel by Clyde Brion Davis") starring Clark Gable (this was Gable's first movie after three years in World War II, and the tagline was "Gable's back and Garson's got him!"), Greer Garson, Joan Blondell, Thomas Mitchell, Tom Tully, John Qualen, Richard Haydn, Lina Romay, Harry Davenport, Betty Blythe, and Pierre Watkin. Note that this movie was the first one that Clark Gable made after serving in World War II, and that is why the tagline for the movie started with "Gable's back", because he enlisted in the war, as did so many other top stars!

Condition: good. Canadian censor stamp in the image area at right in each card; remnants of a snipe across the bottom tagline area of three cards; right 2" of one card and left 2" of another card folded back at one time; smudges, scuffs, and minor creases throughout the cards (more so around the edges); several pairs of staple holes and tack holes scattered throughout three cards as well as a few throughout the other two cards
