An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 25 1/2" x 39 3/4") (Learn More) Ride Beyond Vengeance, the 1966 Bernard McEveety cowboy western ("The screen blazes with guns of vengeance!"; "No one will forget that night of vengeance when the tiger came back to stalk his prey!"; "ROBBED AND LEFT TO DIE... Now the hunted becomes the hunter!"; "The New Giant of Western Adventure"; "From the novel 'The Night of the Tiger' by Al Dewlen") starring Chuck Connors ("The new giant of western adventure"), Joan Blondell, Gloria Grahame, Gary Merrill, Bill Bixby, Michael Rennie ("as Brooks Durham"), and Kathryn Hays (billed as "introducing Kathryn Hays as Jessie"). Note that this movie was produced by Goodson-Todman, who were the famous pair behind most of TV's best game shows! In the late 1950s and mid-1960s they attempted to branch out and produced a few non-game show TV series, but none were giant hits, and they apparently settled back in to produce just game shows. This poster has been linenbacked, but it was not very well done, either because the restorer did not do a very good job, or because the years since it has been linenbacked have not been kind to the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Generally, it had some stains scattered in the white background areas and some fold and border wear. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above general defects and the restoration of the defects (in some cases, as should be immediately evident in our image, the linenbacker did no restoration to some of the defects). I can imagine some collectors displaying this poster just as it is, and accepting the defects and signs of restoration, although other collectors would only display it if it had additional restoration.
