He was first noticed as Vinnie Barbarino in TV's "Welcome Back Kotter", and he went on to a hugely successful movie career. Some of his movies include: Grease, Saturday Night Fever (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Pulp Fiction (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Face/Off, Carrie, and many more! He was married to actress Kelly Preston (who passed away in 2020) and he is a Scientologist (one of their two most famous members, along with Tom Cruise).
