An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 37" [70 x 94 cm]) (Learn More)

Loca Juventud (literally translates to "Crazy Youth"), the 1965 Manuel Mur Oti Spanish/Italian/French melodrama starring Alberto Alonso, Io Polloni, Jose Maria Caffarel, Carlo Campanini, Giove Campuzano, Jose Maria Escuer, and Joselito. Note that Joselito was born in 1943 as Jose Jimenez Fernandez, and in 1956, he was "discovered" and starred in a movie called "The Little Nightingale", where he played a child with an angelic voice, and he became a huge hit, and was nicknamed after the movie. He was 13 at the time, but his manager lied and told everyone he was 9! Over the next few years, he appeared in more movies, and his manager kept trying to conceal his true age, which naturally grew more difficult to do, and also kept him from girls by locking him in his dressing room! Eventually, he became a heroin addict and retired from movies. Years later, he tried to make a comeback, but he did not resemble the child he was and did not have the voice he had, so it was not successful. He lives a reclusive life in Spain, but thankfully he is clean and sober! This is one more example of a child actor whose success did not help him in his later life at all. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. Note that this Mexican poster is somewhat fragile! Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is more fragile along the foldlines (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
