French National Railroads (Societe Nationale Des Chemins De Fer Francais or S.N.C.F.), the French travel poster ("For traveling in France the railway is the right way"; "Visit France by train"; "Discover France by train") made by the S.N.C.F to encourage travel by the French National Railroad. Each poster features a wonderful image or art of one of the many locations that the railroad visits. The SNCF was founded in 1938 with the nationalization of France's main railway companies.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had three tiny brown dot stains in the left of the bottom border and slight wear in the rest of the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
