Whispering Smith, the 1926 George Melford silent romantic love triangle railroad train melodrama (produced by Cecil B. DeMille; about a rancher who waits for wrecked trains and then loots them; a man is sent by the railroad to stop the looting, but it gets complicated when he falls in love with the wife of the rancher) starring H.B. Warner (in the title role as Whispering Smith), Lillian Rich, John Bowers, Lilyan Tashman, Eugene Pallette, Richard Neill, Jim Mason, and Warren Rogers. Note that this movie was remade in 1948 with Alan Ladd in the title role.
